Drought-tolerant front yard in San Jose

Another great example of how a low-water, low-maintenance front yard can be beautiful without a water-thirsty lawn.

In this case the existing lawn has been replaced by synthetic grass.

A raised bed with a simple trellis provides privacy to the garage door.

A low IPE wood fence delimits the lawn area adding interest. It also visually connects to the gates to the side yards, built in a matching style and material.

Concrete stepping stones connect the side yard to the street to allow moving garbage cans in and out on pick-up days.

Drought-tolerant planting completes the look of this low-water / low-maintenance front yard.
